Join Jennifer de Tréglodé, she is a teacher, a textile artist, and a Tea Sommelier in training. But above all else she is a student of rituals from all cultures that involve tea, nature, craft, and community. After unknowingly using tea her whole life as a meditation tool, she was delighted to find The Way of Tea, a hand-in-hand practice with Zen Buddhism. In service of the leaves, there is nothing she loves more than to create a sacred space to share the gratitude, mindfulness, reverence, and wisdom that can be found within a beautiful cup of tea. The ancient Chinese ritual of a Gong Fu Tea Ceremony is a very easily accessible way to approach meditation. The art and intentionality of the practice, the sensorial journey, and the connection of our bodies to nature through the tea leaves help to open us up to mindfulness and to find peace in the present moment. Join us for this simple and beautiful meditative journey.

In this ceremony we will honor the Element of Water 🌊 for the winter season, Water is also the element for this 🌚💦🐇 Lunar Year. The element of water invites us to find a balance with fluidity and flow.

Water reminds us to be mindful of the emotion “Fear” and that fear can be overcome by centered contemplation. It also asks you to use your spiritual resource of Will Power + Ambition. Call to life that which is dormant and sealed up. Look to your life force to find connection to life’s essence. The force of will power + ambition comes from clarity in the water, look for the answers in the stillness of the clear lake within.
